Current projects in the works
Edible mushroom growing
A member expressed an interest in growing edible mushrooms. This can be done easily with a Mushroom Growing Kit, available from DIY stores.
We have 1 out of 2 kits purchased, and just need to prepare a growing area for them.
Status: Approved and Funded, volunteers required.
Estimated cost: $79.68

Seed raising
A growing garden needs a steady supply of seeds and plants to keep going.
This is an ongoing expense for the Community Garden.
The long term goal is to raise our own seedlings from packets of seeds, as this is the most economic way to garden. If your interested in being a Seed-Raiser, get in touch.
3
Strawberry towers
Strawberries plants take a lot of space, so why not grow them vertically!
This project started in 2013, and has been ongoing.
